This Blog has been established to find out if a Blackpool Blogosphere exists? And if it does, to promote local Blogs and bring together local Bloggers to make that Blogosphere a better place. So what does this mean?
Wikipedia describes the term Blogosphere thus:
a collective term encompassing all blogs and their interconnections. It is the perception that blogs exist together as a connected community (or as a collection of connected communities) or as a social network.
So a Blackpool Blogosphere would consist of bringing together the town’s Bloggers as a collective community. What that community might then do as a inter-connected online social network is the exciting bit!
Blogs can be about anything and everything! A search on Technorati or on Google Blog Search will crawl millions of Blogs to find the subject that you are interested in. But what are Blackpool Bloggers blogging about? This Blog hopes to find out.
Blogging Blackpool aims to put local Bloggers in touch with each other: Create a local community of Bloggers, widen awareness of local Blogging, increase the number of readers and viewers of local Blogs and encourage more people to become Bloggers!
The task of discovering local Blogs and bringing together local bloggers will take time – so in the meanwhile this Blog will look at what has been achieved elsewhere and generally promote Blogging and share tips with other Bloggers.
The journey to discover, part-create and help develop the Blackpool Blogosphere starts today! Please join in on that journey and make it truly a collaborative experience!

I’m really liking this idea. I think you may like to look at widening it to a Fylde Coast Blog together.
http://www.paulmaynard.co.uk has some good in depth articles and commentary on it.
